This Yakima Valley residence is surrounded by sage brush covered hills looking down into the lush green river basin below. The house is situated to embrace the views of the valley with large south facing windows and a cabana with pool terrace designed on the south side of the residence.
The objective for this residential landscape design was to fulfill the client’s outdoor needs and had the lowest possible impact on the surrounding environment. This translated into a wide use of native plants; deciduous trees to provide passive solar opportunities for the house; a fescue lawn mix to reduce water consumption; and using local materials for pathways and stonework.
