The Gap Residence

“The Gap” is what locals call the place where a river cuts through the hillside south of Yakima, and this private residence enjoys phenomenal views onto it. It’s set on a 3.3-acre property situated between two apple orchards, with ample outdoor spaces.

Key shapes in the landscape design match the architectural style of the single-story building: contemporary, flat, and linear. Beyond the lawn areas the owners and their friends will use for games and sports, a seeded meadow makes for beautiful, low-maintenance spaces.
