This residence will be situated on a four-acre property in a forested area outside Monroe, Oregon, with views onto Mt. Hood and Mt. Jefferson. High on the owner’s priority list for the landscape: a small orchard, and a vineyard in which they could grow grapes to make their own wine. The design concepts arranges these elements with consideration of the views as well as sun angles, and connects them with well thought-out pathways. Much of the property is intended for restoration to its pre-development state, blending in with the natural landscape of the Willamette Valley.
